(KNOX) – Moorhead police have charged the parents of a child who brought THC products to a middle school with felony drug charges.

40 year old Martin Hulst and 43 year old Amanda Hulst were each charged with Felony 1st Degree Controlled Substance. The arrests followed a search warrant that resulted in investigators recovering THC products in the form of flower…cartridges…and wax along with psychedelic mushrooms and large amounts of cash.

According to police the juvenile brought the “candy” to the Horizon Middle School on Monday. Several students consumed the items and became ill. Authorities say school staff and emergency responders quickly provided care.

The parents were arrested in Moorhead this morning. Multiple juveniles residing in the home have been referred to Clay County Social Services. The incident remains under investigation.
