(KNOX) – A 53 year old Grand Forks woman was struck and injured while walking in a crosswalk this morning.
Grand Forks Police says the victim was hit by a pickup truck driven by a 42 year old Grand Forks man. The accident occurred at the intersection of DeMers Avenue and 5th Street shortly before 11:00 a.m.
The GFPD says video from a nearby business suggests the pedestrian had the walk signal when the mishap occurred. The driver was cited for Failure to Yield.
The woman was transported to Altru Hospital with unknown injuries.
