(KNOX) – Small town mayor’s jobs can be attractive…..or not.
While three candidates have pitched their hat for Northwood mayor’s position, no one wants to be mayor in Emerado, and three other communities have uncontested races with a single candidate.
Patrick Case, Kayla Evenstad, and Anthony Hanekamp are running to replace Karl Broeren, who has chosen not to see re-election in Northwood.
According to the secretary of state’s website, no one is running for the mayor’s office in Emerado. That would include the current mayor, Jake Lanes. A write-in will likely decide the winner.
Niagara, Larimore and Reynolds all have uncontested races with incumbents.
