Ranking Roll Call
As of May 5, the UND women were ranked No. 11 in the Midwest Region and No. 66 in the nation—the second-highest ranking for a Summit League team—while the men held No. 22 in the Midwest Region and No. 139 nationally according to the USTFCCCA. It also places the women as second in the Summit League with the men in fifth.
North Dakota’s women’s 10,000-meter run squad of Jadyn Keeler, Shewaye Johnson, Naja Weiler and Marie-Louise Jorgensen is making national headlines in dominating fashion as they currently rank No. 5 in the nation as an event squad.
Seven members of the women’s Fighting Hawk track and field team rank in the Top 48 of the West Qualifying List, which would earn them bids to the NCAA West Prelims before the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Those currently in the Top 48 include: Jadyn Keeler (10,000-meter Run – 4th; 5,000-meter Run – 11th), Frida Giersdorff (3000-meter Steeplechase – 13th), Cailey Moton (Hammer Throw – 38th), Anya Williams (High Jump – 39th), Shewaye Johnson (10,000-meter Run – 39th), Julia Matthews (Hammer Throw – 42nd) and Naja Weiler (10,000-meter Run – 46th),.
On the men’s side of the West Qualifying List, two men rank in the Top 48 in three total events. Louis-Lys Fanucchi leads in 17th in the 1500-meter run and 19th in the 3000-meter steeplechase as Henrik Lindstrot sits 44th in the steeplechase.
