(KNOX) – A 19 year old driver is facing multiple charges after a vehicle crash on Gateway Drive Sunday morning .
Grand Forks police responded to the crash just after 4 am Sunday A white 2006 GMC Sierra that had just turned eastbound onto Gateway Drive in the 4700 block. According to police, The vehicle then increased its speed, then The driver lost control of the vehicle, it began to swerve, went over the curb, struck a tree and rolled over coming to rest on its driver side.
The driver of the motor vehicle was identified as Lorenzo Lafromboise (19). Lafromboise was arrested for driving under the influence (2nd offense), no proof of liability insurance, open container, reckless driving, and minor in consumption. Lafromboise was evaluated on scene by Altru paramedics and he denied transportation to the hospital. The motor vehicle was then impounded.
