
(UND Sports Information) – GRAND FORKS, N.D. – An den Hamer, Reagan McIntosh and Lauren Perugini have been voted on by their teammates and coaching staff to lead the Fighting Hawks as captains of the 2026 North Dakota volleyball team. All three players are returners from last year’s team.
“Annie, Lauren and Reagan consist of similar attributes that will make them excellent captains,” said Head Coach David Nguyen. “They are willing to go above and beyond for this team and that has shown throughout the spring. Their ability to communicate with their teammates and staff on and off the court stands out. I am confident that they will be great leader!”
An den Hamer – Right Side – Junior – Apeldoorn, Netherlands
The Junior enters her second season with the Fighting Hawks, transferring over last season from the University of Arizona. Den Hamer appeared in 13 matches and 26 total sets in 2025, logging 36 kills, 16 digs, 3.0 blocks, one service ace and one assists, while making four starts. She compiled a career-high 10 kills on Sept. 13 in a 3-0 win over Idaho. Her 1.38 kills/set ranked fifth on the team.
Reagan McIntosh – Setter – Junior – Verona, Wis.
McIntosh heads into her second season with UND, coming over from Middle Tennessee State last season. The junior ranked second on the team in both assists (78) and assists/set (1.20), while registering five kills, six service aces and 34 digs across 27 matches and 65 sets. The Verona, Wis. native dished out a season-high 11 assists against West Virginia on Sept. 4 and had 22 assists in an exhibition game against Jamestown on Aug. 23.
Lauren Perugini – Outside Hitter – Senior – Mississauga, Ontario
Perugini enters year four in Grand Forks, coming off a 2025 campaign in which she had 117 kills, 62 digs, 16.0 blocks, four service aces and three assists in 23 matches and 68 sets. The outside hitter made 12 starts, smashing 10 or more kills in five different matches, headlined by 14 against UT Martin on Sept. 19. The senior has put up nine double doubles in her career, with 509 kills and 540 digs throughout 77 matches and 267 sets at UND. She has made 65 starts in three seasons with the Fighting Hawks.
