(KNOX) – The Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN has added a fifth flight this November out of Grand Forks as board members work to reduce a waitlist of 900 people.
The flight will leave Grand Forks International Airport this coming November.
The organization is trying to ensure no veteran gets left behind. Those currently scheduled to fly have been on the waiting list since 2024, creating a two-year wait list.
Each flight costs about $290,000. The trip is free to veterans, with money raised through donations and fundraising events.
