Grand Forks Fire Department Responds to Garage Fire

(KNOX) – Saturday evening  the Grand Forks Fire Department was dispatched to  10th Avenue North for a report of a garage on fire.

Crews arrived on scene and saw smoke and flames coming from a detached
garage. Crews began fire suppression efforts, extinguished the fire, and were able too keep the fire contained to the garage.

There were no injuries to any firefighters or occupants, and no residents were displaced. The garage suffered extensive damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Grand Forks Fire Department responded with five engines. One ladder truck, one command vehicle, and 17 personnel.

The Grand Forks Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Grand Forks Police Department, Altru Ambulance, and Xcel Energy.
