Grand Forks Fire Department Responds to Fire

(KNOX) – Thursday evening the Forks Fire Department was dispatched to 5th Avenue North for a structure fire.

Crews arrived on scene and encountered a small amount of smoke and small flames coming from the bathroom ceiling. Crews began fire suppression efforts and quickly located and extinguished the fire.

There were no injuries to any occupants or firefighters on the scene. The occupants and one pet were displaced for the evening. The home sustained minor damage. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

The Grand Forks Fire Department responded with five engines, one ladder, one command vehicle, and 18 personnel.

The Grand Forks Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Grand Forks Police Department, Altru Ambulance and Xcel Energy.
