PSC Schedules Public Hearing For Proposed Transmission Line And Substation Project in Cass County

(KNOX) – The North Dakota Public Service Commission (PSC) will hold a public hearing regarding a proposal to construct an electric transmission line and associated substation in Cass County.

Minnkota Power Cooperative, Inc., is requesting a siting permit for the construction of a  1.74 mile double-circuit 345-kV electric transmission line and associated substation.

The line would start at Minnkota’s Maple River-Bison 345-kV transmission line and would end at the proposed substation south of Harwood. The line will be networked and will serve Minnkota’s distribution cooperative member, Cass County Electric Cooperative and a large-load member

The estimated cost of the project is $75 million.
