(KNOX) – According to the highway patrol on Sunday morning a Jeep was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-94. At mile marker 298, the vehicle departed the roadway and struck a bridge support on the north side of the roadway.
The driver, a 26 year-old woman from Jamestown, was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the state patrol.
She was not wearing a seat belt.
