Man Found Dead in Downtown Grand Forks on Greenway

(KNOX) – AT about 2:07 pm Wednesday, a passerby called into the Grand Forks Police Department about an unresponsive male that was located on the Greenway area, south of the railroad bridge.

Officers arrived and located a male subject, face down in the snow. No life-saving measures were taken, as the male was obviously deceased. The preliminary investigation has not identified any obvious trauma or cause of death, but due to the cold, a complete examination of the body has not been performed .Based upon that information, there is not believed to be any known threat to the public.

The identify of the male is not being released at this time and will be released after next-of-kin is notified.
