(KNOX) – According to the highway patrol on Monday a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling west on US Highway 2 near mile marker 245.5 driven by a 72 year-old man from Leeds.
A 2007 international semi pulling a trailer loaded with corn entered westbound US Highway 2 from Highway 281and was accelerating after making the turn.
The front of the Chevrolet struck the rear of the loaded trailer. The driver of the Chevrolet was severely injured and transported to CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake Hospital where he died.
The driver of the semi, a 34 year-old man from Fessenden was not injured
