(KNOX) – Roughly 50,000 North Dakota households will pay nothing for their 2025 property taxes under an expanded state relief program.

The Primary Residence Credit Program offers up to $1,600 per household in property tax relief for tax years 2025 and 2026.

That’s up $500 from what was offered in 2024.

The increase stems from last year’s property tax relief package, which also increased funding for a renters refund and a disabled veterans tax credit.
