Deck The Homes to Find Fur-Ever Home

(KNOX) – This holiday season, our community is lighting up more than just the streets and neighborhoods. They’re lighting the way for pets in need!

Circle of Friends Animal Shelter is pleased to announce we have partnered with Crary Real Estate to bring you Deck the Homes to Find Fur-Ever Homes, a friendly house-decorating competition where every twinkling light and festive display can help homeless pets find their Fur-Ever homes.

We have created a roster of decorated addresses of over 120 homes for Christmas touring from photos taken by Jerry Waletzko of Crary Real Estate in the first 12 days of December. They are posted on their Facebook page along with a link to a convenient map managed by Crary Real Estate. From there, the public can vote with monetary donations on their favorite decorated homes. The top three fundraising home decorators will share in a total of $600 in awards from Mr. Waletzko.

Waletzko says, “I am in the business of helping folks buy and sell homes, so it is a good fit to spread Christmas cheer by offering a list of decorated homes for Holiday touring. In turn, it is also gratifying to try and channel all that time, effort and money put into decorating to help raise funds so the Circle of Friends can re-home pets in their care.”

In addition, Shawn Horn an agent at Crary Real Estate is matching up to $500 raised and Russel Crary, the broker of Crary Real Estate is also contributing an additional $500 to match donations.

The event is being held through January 6. The voting and donation page is Give.classy.org/deckthehomes2025.
