(KNOX) – Friday afternoon the Grand Forks Fire Department responded to Mill Road for a report of a commercial structure fire.
Fire crews arrived on scene to find heavy smoke in the processing area of the building. The fire was confined to a large dehydrator and quickly extinguished. There was no fire damage to the structure. Fire crews ventilated smoke from the building, and the property was released back to the company. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
The Grand Forks Fire Department responded with five engines, one truck, one command vehicle, and 17 personnel. There were no injuries to the occupants or fire service personnel. The Fire Department was assisted by Altru Ambulance, Xcel Energy, and the Grand Forks Police Department.
The Grand Forks Fire Department would like to remind residents to keep hydrants clear of snow.
