(KNOX) – East Grand Forks will travel across the river to face Grand Forks Red River in a basketball double header tonight.
The Greenwave girls are 2-0 this season after dominant wins over Barnesville and Thief River Falls. Tatum Votava is one of the top returners in the area, and is leading the Greenwave as they play their first five games away from Senior High.
Red River is 0-2 after tough losses to western North Dakota teams last weekend. The Roughriders were beaten by Mandan and Bismarck Legacy.
East Grand Forks has powered out to a 3-0 start in boys hoops, winning at home against Crookston and Roseau, and defeating Thief River Falls 78-52 in their last matchup on the road. The 26-point win is the closest game they’ve played this season.
Red River’s boys are 0-2 after a tight loss to Mandan and being tipped by Legacy 72-70 last weekend.
