Lisa Demuth Picks Ryan Wilson as Running Mate in Campaign for Minnesota Governor

(Minnesota Reformer) – House Speaker Lisa Demuth, R-Cold Spring, announced Monday that attorney Ryan Wilson will be her running mate in her bid for Minnesota governor next year.

Wilson narrowly lost his campaign for state auditor in 2022 and has long been involved in the conservative legal movement in Minnesota as a constitutional lawyer.

“It’s time for some accountability in the highest level of our government, and Ryan Wilson is the one that will help me deliver that accountability,” Demuth said in a statement.

Wilson is an attorney at the firm CrossCastle, which represented House Republicans earlier this year after House Democrats brought a lawsuit over control of the chamber. House GOP floor leader Harry Niska also works at the firm.
