(KNOX) – On Friday at approximately 2:07 PM, a pedestrian was walking west on 3rd Street in Grandin and was struck by a northbound train.
The pedestrian, a 71-year-old woman from Grandin, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
