Former University of North Dakota Professor Pleads Not Guilty This Week

(KNOX) – A former University of North Dakota professor pleaded not guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution this week.

Court records said that Qianli Chu, 50, has been charged with allegedly agreeing to hire someone believed to be a minor for prostitution, a felony.

He resigned from his position at UND in May of this year. Chu’s next court appearance is scheduled for November 18th.

He posted $1,500 to be released from custody in June. There are conditions of his release that must be met.
