Northlands Rescue Mission Releases Statement on Jones Departure

(KNOX) – The following is a statement from the Northlands Rescue Mission Board of Directors concerning the departure of Everett Jones as Executive Director:

“We have unanimously determined that the direction of the Mission was not fully aligned with our core values and goals. While Everett brought dedication and energy to his role, it became clear that the fit was not right for our organization.

We are implementing a transition plan that includes interim leadership to ensure stability and continued progress.

We remain deeply committed to our mission, the clients we serve, and our community. On behalf of the board, we extend our well wishes to Everett as he moves forward, and we look ahead with renewed dedication to the important work of the Northlands Rescue Mission.

The Grand Forks Community Vision Awards & Banquet will proceed as originally planned on Oct. 16th, as will the Mission auction. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of the Grand Forks human services community and continuing to serve individuals experiencing homelessness and hunger.”
