(KNOX) – This week a highway patrol trooper saw a vehicle traveling west on Highway 2 near mile marker 330. The vehicle had an impaired view due to items in the back seat and had only one outside mirror.
The vehicle was observed striking the fog line. The trooper initiated a stop, but the vehicle continued to travel westbound at a high rate of speed through Grand Forks, Nelson, and into Ramsey County.
Multiple spike strip deployments were conducted but the vehicle continued west.
Prior to entering Devils Lake, the vehicle was boxed in by law enforcement to slow the vehicle down in order stop the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped.
The driver, a 42 year-old woman from Grand Forks, was taken to the Grand Forks Correctional Center and charged with fleeing law enforcement, reckless endangerment-extreme indifference, and driving under suspension.
