Grand Forks Police Department Responds to Shots Fired

(KNOX) – On Sunday at around 4:30 am several 911 calls were received reporting gunshots in the area of the 500 block of 4th Avenue North in Grand Forks.

Responding officers arrived in the area and located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Altru Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

Witnesses reported possibly seeing a dark-colored sport utility vehicle leaving the area, but this cannot be confirmed at this time.

The Police Department is asking anyone who lives in this area to check any security cameras they may have in their homes for any footage that may assist in the investigation. Additionally, anyone that may have any direct information related to this investigation is asked to please contact the Police Department.
