(KNOX) – The Walsh County Sheriff’s office said that that they have scaled back their search efforts for the four men who fled from a traffic stop last week.
They said that they will continue to investigate any reports they receive regarding those four individuals. The highway patrol is the lead investigator on the incident.
A shelter-in-place recommendation was issued in that area by the Walsh County Sheriff’s Office during the search.
According to the Walsh County Sheriff’s Office the shelter-in-place was issued because of school buses were dropping off children in the area where there was an active search going on. The order was to protect the traffic in in that location and to safeguard the children, who the sheriff’s office said that they did not want to place in a potentially dangerous situation.
