(KNOX) – Langdon Area and Thompson pace area football teams receiving preseason attention on the first night of Class A football in North Dakota.
Langdon Area-Munich is ranked second in the Class A football poll from the North Dakota Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association. The Cardinals received three of 16 first-place votes, and is ranked behind defending champion Velva-Drake-Anamoose/Garrison.
Dickinson Trinity, Ellendale/Edgeley-Kulm, and Minot Ryan/Our Redeemers round out the top five. Thompson received votes in the poll.
North Border is ranked third in the 9-man poll. LaMoure/Litchville-Marion is the top-ranked team.
