(KNOX) – A Crookston man is facing several felony charges after selling drugs to a confidential informant on multiple occasions between March and August.

According to legal records Crookston Police met with an informant who say they had been purchasing cocaine from Kane Rodriguez on a weekly basis for the past few months. They then set up sales with Rodriguez after he was arrested in Crookston.

He admitted to police that he had been selling small amounts of cocaine and hadn’t been doing it very long. He also claimed that he did not sell cocaine to make money, only to help people in need and that most of the cocaine he purchased was for personal use.

Rodriguez is facing seven counts of Controlled substance crime, one in the first degree and the other six in the second degree.
