(KNOX) – Agristo, the Belgium potato processor is another step closer to opening a plant in Grand Forks
Grand Forks City Attorney Dan Gaustad said that the company is looking to use land of a failed project.
“We use the Fufeng development agreement kind of the baseline for this piece of property,” said Gaustad.
Agristo, a family-owned potato processing company has informed the City of Grand Forks they intend to build their first North American facility in the city.
“Looking to close on the property, otherwise known as the Fufeng property at the end of the month. That’s their goal,” Grand Forks City Administrator Todd Feland said.
The Grand Forks Agristo project was and is a collaborative public, private partnership to include and not limited to the following: Agristo, Northland Potato Growers Association, Federal, North Dakota, and Local governments, and Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation.
