(KNOX) – A Grand Forks man sentenced to 12 years for distributing fentanyl inside a jail.
Jeremie Castoreno, 42, provided fentanyl to two inmates who later had to be taken to the hospital due to overdosing.
He smuggled the drug into the Grand Forks County Correctional Center by hiding it inside his court paperwork.
Castoreno pleaded guilty to Class A felony delivery of a controlled substance inside a correctional facility.
Court records indicate that the Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force responded to the Grand Forks County Correctional Center on December 2nd for a report of two inmates who overdosed.
