(KNOX) – There’s more to Grand Forks than meets the eye — and now, there’s a new way to experience it. Thanks to a partnership between the Downtown Development Association and Visit Greater Grand Forks, the community is proud to introduce Talking Trail, a Self-guided storytelling tour that brings the city’s history, art, and culture to life.

Using the free Talking Trail app, dialing the number listed on each sign, or visiting www.talkingtrail.com/grandforksnd, users can hear narrated stories about our city’s past and present. Discover the roots of the Sorlie Bridge, the history behind the Paddle Wheel in Town Square, or the community spirit that emerged after the Red River floods. Other stops include Grand Forks City Hall, The Opera House, and the glowing downtown Light Pillars.

“We’re always looking for ways to help people see downtown through fresh eyes.” said Jill Proctor, CEO of the Downtown Development Association. “Talking Trail gives us a chance to showcase the rich culture and stories that make this place so special.”

“As a destination marketing organization, Visit Greater Grand Forks is committed to not only attracting visitors but also enhancing their experience in our community,” said Julie Rygg, Executive Director of Visit Greater Grand Forks. “The Talking Trail Grand Forks supports this mission by adding an engaging and unique activity for visitors to enjoy during their stay.”
