Northern Minnesota Boy Dies in 4th of July Fireworks Accident

(KNOX) – According to the Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office a 13-year-old boy died after a fireworks accident on the 4th of July.

The sheriff’s office sid that   deputies were called to a home in Naytahwaush.

Witnesses said that Michael Turner was holding a large firework and pointing it away from himself while it was lit.

When the firework went off, it shot through the bottom of the tube and hit Turner in the chest.

Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Deputies said that Turner was not breathing and had no pulse. Paramedics tried saving Turner, but he died a short time late
