(KNOX) -For about a month, residents on the Spirit Lake Reservation have not been able to drink the local water.
On May 27, the water department discovered a manganese level of 1.23 in the local water supply.
The water department said that the level at which it becomes a health advisory is 0.3.
Since May, tribes have been making donations of bottled water for consumption to Spirit Lake residents.
