(KNOX) – The city of Grand Forks is expected to appoint an interim fire chief.
Current Fire Chief, Gary Lorenz has been voted by unanimously by the Fargo City Commission as their new chief.
Because a candidate most likely will not be chosen by the time Lorenz is to leave, an interim fire chief will likely be appointed to oversee the transition period.
Mayor Brandon Bochenski will pick the interim chief.
