(KNOX) – A man charged with attempted murder and assault while incarcerated in Crookston made a court appearance this week.
According to court documents Henry Vold, of Mentor, Minnesota, was convicted for felony assault in 2014 and two counts of assault in 2018, and is accused of assaulting one correctional employee and strangling a corrections officer in 2023.
He is facing charges of attempting to commit murder in the second degree and first degree assault of a correctional employee.
The Polk County court ruled that Vold will be evaluated to determine his competency to stand trial. An administrative review hearing is scheduled for later this month.
