(KNOX) -According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office a man from near Erskine is dead after crashing his motorcycle on a gravel road about 10 miles east of Crookston.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a passerby who came upon the crash on a county road about a mile-and-a-half north of U.S. Highway 2 Sunday.
Deputies found 39-year-old Travis Shimpa lying in the ditch.
He died at the scene.
The crash is under investigation.
