(KNOX) – A Grand Forks man was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison for a Hobbs Act robbery.

A crime he pleaded guilty to earlier this year.

Ian Kramchuck, 20, committed theft from a business entity that’s engaged in interstate commerce, the main part that classifies his crime as a Hobbs Act robbery.

A crime committed under the Hobbs Act robbery makes it eligible for federal prosecution.
