(KNOX) – Grand Forks police say that on Thursday evening around 6 o’clock at 32nd Avenue South and South 31st Street an accident happened involving a truck and a motorcycle.
Multiple calls were made to 911 indicating that there were serious injuries and that the truck was fully engulfed in flames.
Initial investigation of the crash determined that a 1996 Suzuki motorcycle, driven by 18 year old Jordan Anderson of Grand Forks, was traveling eastbound on 32nd Avenue South
A 2023 Dodge Ram pick-up driven by 48 year old Samuel Turner of Mesa, AZ, was traveling westbound on 32nd Avenue South and attempting to make a left turn onto South 31st Street.
As the pick-up was making this turn, the motorcycle struck the truck and was lodged underneath it.
Both vehicles then became fully engulfed in flames and were totaled.
Anderson sustained severe, incapacitating injuries and was taken to the hospital. No injuries were reported from the other vehicle.
This crash is still under investigation. No citations have been issued at this time.
