(KNOX) – The North Dakota University system said in a release that they have read recent reporting regarding former Senator Ray Holmberg of Grand Forks, with deep sense of sadness.
Individuals connected to the State Board of Higher Education of North Dakota University System, may have had knowledge of Holmberg’s conduct.
This comes after a number of Freedom of Information Requests were submitted to the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, for files in the Holmberg case.
Legal records say that Holmberg, 81, traveled to Prague 14 times between 2011 to 2021 and stayed at a brothel that accommodated men, looking to engage in commercial sex with boys.
The records say that during the trip, Holmberg used the alias “Sean Evans.”
The U.S. Department of Justice says that Holmberg used the “Evans” alias to tell friends about his trips and encourage them to travel to Prague.
