Grand Forks Police Have Arrested One After Incident Near Islamic Center

(KNOX) – On Monday afternoon officers of the Grand Forks Police Department were dispatched to 17th Avenue South for the report of a male who pointed a gun at another male who was in a car, and then walked into the Islamic Center.

When Officers arrived on scene, they began clearing people who were in and around the Islamic Center to try identify where the suspect was.
While doing this, one male subject was detained and identified.

During the course of the investigation, it was learned Abdi Ahmedali had gotten into a vehicle with the victim, pointed a gun at him, and made him drive him to this location.

The Grand Forks Police would like to thank the members of the Islamic Center for their help and cooperation during this situation.
