(KNOX) – A Polk County man entered an Alford plea to three felony methamphetamine charges.
Legal records said that Abelardo Deleon, 54, of Crookston was given a furlough that will allow him to remain out of custody until his sentencing hearing.
He took the Alford plea for conspiracy to commit a first-degree controlled substance crime, first-degree sale of a controlled substance and second-degree sale of a controlled substance in a prohibited zone.
Deleon’s sentencing is slated for 9 a.m. May 22. It could be sooner if Deleon is unable to find somewhere to live during his furlough and must return to custody.
While out he is out, he will be under a pre-trial supervision program.
