(KNOX) – On Friday the City of Grand Forks received a report of a red substance spilling into the English Coulee.
After investigation it was determined the substance was Glycol and it was coming from a storm water line connected to one of Altru Health System’s clinic locations.
Glycol is non-toxic and is biodegradable and is not harmful to wildlife.
Altru Health System has mitigated the source of the spill and the city has contained the Glycol that was already in the coulee.
The City would like to let the public know that there may be some residual Glycol still in the storm water line and it will take a couple of days for the line to clear.
