(KNOX) – Just before 10 o’clock Monday night the Grand Forks Fire Department responded to a car fire inside the garage of a residential home.
Fire crews arrived on the scene and found a vehicle on fire inside of a garage
attached to a house.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and contain the fire to the garage area of the structure.
The car was a total loss, the fire damage was limited to the garage with moderate smoke damage to the rest of the structure.
The residents and their pet were displaced because of the fire. There were no
injuries to any occupants or fire service personnel.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Grand Forks Fire Department responded with five engines, one truck, one command vehicle and eighteen personnel.
The Fire Department was also assisted by the Grand Forks Police Department, and Altru Ambulance
