(KNOX) – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said that they have received many reports of scam calls where the callers identify themselves as Polk County employees.
The callers are allegedly telling people they missed jury duty and a warrant has been issued for their arrest. The callers are then requesting payments over the phone for the warrant.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said it is a scam.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office does not collect any type of fee over the phone.
