Grand Forks Man Sentenced in Abuse Case

(KNOX) – A Grand Forks man was sentenced to five years in prison for endangering and terrorizing his wife while she as she battled cancer.

She died a month after she reported her husband’s abuse.

Legal records state that at 41-year-old Joshua Temple sentencing hearing, the prosecution exposed many pieces of evidence, including texts, photographs, diary entries and an audio recording specifying Temple’s abuse of his wife, Whitne Temple, who was diagnosed in 2022 with cancer.

Whitney Temple died at 33 on May 6, 2024.

Joshua Temple is required to complete two years of supervised probation after his release from prison.

He must complete a mental health and a domestic violence offender assessment and must comply with any recommendations created.
