(KNOX) – Grand Forks City Council has approved a special assessment district for the proposed Altru Sports Complex.
Work will be done to part of the site of the planned sports facility.
“Specifically the paving, the storm sewer, street lighting, earth work and landscaping. Which totals $8,700,000. The city would like to special assess that,” said Grand Forks Engineer Ed Liberman.
The City of Grand Forks is the special assessment. Meaning that the city will pay for the work.
The conceptual location of the sports complex is located just south of the existing Alerus Center, west of S. 42nd Street, north of 17th Avenue S., and east of Interstate 29.
