Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Accepting Public Comments on NDHP Performance

(KNOX) – Colonel Daniel Haugen said that the Accreditation Public Comment Portal for the North Dakota Highway Patrol now open.

Since 1989, the NDHP has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). and has received meritorious recognition for being accredited for more than 15 continuous years.

The NDHP must comply with more than 350 professional public safety standards to maintain its accreditation status.

Through the public comment portal, which will be open March 3 – May 9, 2025, community members can provide feedback regarding the agency’s performance and quality of service.

The public can access the portal via https://cimrs2.calea.org/890. The CALEA portal can also be accessed through the NDHP website: www.nd.gov/ndhp.
