(KNOX) -According to the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office they attempted to serve an arrest warrant in Thompson on Sunday.
44-year-old Joseph Rud had an active felony arrest warrant for violating conditions of bond.
The Grand Forks County Sherriff’s Office said that a SWAT team arrived, after a few minutes of commands to surrender, Rud left the apartment and was taken into custody without incident.
Rud was arrested on charges for his warrant and on suspicion of preventing arrest on a felony charge and felon in possession of a firearm.
According to the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office the incident remains under investigation.
