(KNOX) – The Legislature is on its midsession break. Hearings on bills will not resume until 9 a.m. Wednesday, and the House and Senate will not resume floor sessions to vote on bills until Friday, March 7.

This tactic saves legislative days. The North Dakota Constitution imposes an 80-day limit on legislative meetings over two years, and legislative days are counted only if the House or Senate holds a floor session.

Friday, March 7, will be Day 35 of the 2025 session.
