(KNOX) – A non-voting member from the Grand Forks Air Force Base could be added to the Grand Forks Planning and Zoning Commission.
City Attorney Dan Gaustad says Grand Forks City Council would have to approve the member.
“Having this reviewed by planning and zoning, and it would come back through that process, back to council eventually,” says Gaustad.
Grand Forks City Council President Dana Sande feels that it is a good idea to have someone from the Grand Forks Air Force Base on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
“Our Planning and Zoning Commission could help us head off any potential issues relating to developments in, and around the community that might interfere with the future base missions,” Sande says
