A list of requests from EGF Parks and Recreation

(KNOX) – It was a busy Tuesday meeting for Jeremy King of East Grand Forks Parks and Recreation.
They recommend keeping the ice on at VFW Arena until the end of June to accommodate figure skating and summer camps.
Parks and Recreation has hired John Wuitschick as Recreation Coordinator. They want to advertise for a specialist position.
Parks and Recreation wants to purchase a new columbarium… a building where funeral urns are stored…at a price of $71,906, and use remaining funds for additional sidewalk and landscaping.
East Grand Forks City Council votes on all of these proposals Tuesday night.
A new batting cage is being donated free to Stauss Park by the East Grand Forks Home Run Club.

The East Grand Forks Fire Department wants to split ownership and financing of three fire trucks, with the city covering 60 percent and townships covering 40 percent.
The Fire Department wants to replace Engine 409, a 2000 model, owned by the townships. The department requests the city take up 60 percent of the ownership.
Manufacturers says that they are three years out for delivery.
East Grand Forks City Council will vote on the request on Tuesday.
