(KNOX) – At approximately 11:47 AM Sunday, the Grand Forks Fire Department was dispatched to 5227 5th Ave N for a report of a structure fire.
Fire crews arrived on the scene and found smoke and fire coming from a residential home. Firefighting efforts were conducted on both the interior and the exterior of the structure to extinguish the fire.
The home sustained extensive damage, the cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries to occupants or any firefighters on the scene. The resident of the home is displaced.
The Fire Department responded with five engines, one ladder truck, one command vehicle, and 19 personnel. The Fire Department was assisted by Grand Forks Police Department, Altru Ambulance, Xcel Energy, and the American Red Cross
